Academic Coaching

How We Can Help

  • Our mission is to teach students how to plan, manage their time, be organized and minimize procrastination because every child deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and feel good about themselves and their future.

  • Our vision is to be an integral part of the support system for parents and students.

  • If your student is struggling in any of the below executive functioning skills, skill based academic coaching may be the key to building their future success.

  • Planning / Prioritization

  • Task Initiation

  • Sustained Attention

  • Organization

  • Time Management

  • Goal Directed Persistence

  • Flexibility

  • Working Memory

  • Response Inhibition

  • Emotional Control

  • Metacognition

Our Process

  • We will have a general discussion about your student's learning history and what you hope your student will gain from working with an Academic Coach.

  • We will have an in depth discussion with your student about their experiences related to their studies and why they are interested in coaching.

  • We will work together, via Zoom, to learn new skills and habits, and practice implementing them. In addition to the weekly coaching session, there will be multiple check-ins per week, via text, to provide accountability and support.
