I am interested in Academic Coaching for my student. Can you just talk to them first and see what they think?

For Academic Coaching, where the parents are paying for the services, the first step is to schedule a 30-Minute Complementary Consultation Call with the parent(s) to learn about their student's learning history and what they hope their student will gain from working with an Academic Coach. Following the Complementary Consultation Call with the Parent(s), we can schedule a 50-Minute Discovery Session with your student.

Why do I need to have Discovery Session; why can't we just get started right away?

It is important for both of us to have an in depth understanding of what the goals are, why these goals are important and why now is the right time. Our goal is to create long term solutions, habits and systems that you can maintain. Without this knowledge, the work we do together may not last.

Is there a charge for the Discovery Session?

Yes, there is a charge. The Discovery Session is an in-depth conversation that will allow both of us to assess if working together is going to support the changes that you or your student want to implement.

What days do you Coach?

The Academic Coaching Sessions are on Monday's and Tuesday's. This allows the students to space out their work over the rest of the week. The Productivity Coaching Sessions can be scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

If we hire you as an Academic Coach for our student, can we stop checking in on them regarding their school work?

This will depend on your student, their age and their current skill level. If your student is in high school, it will be important that they continue to keep you in the loop on a regular basis. If your student is college, it's possible that you may be able to take a large step back and we can see how that works. Either way, working with an Academic Coach often alleviates much of the friction between you and your student.

As a Productivity Coach, what systems do you most commonly implement?

The systems we often focus on first are email management, calendar management, task & project lists and notes.

I feel like I should be able to do this myself.

Organizing and Productivity are a skill. While we can all learn how to be more organized and productive, it is not something we are born knowing. Asking for help is brave and may be the first step in creating the life you want.

How long will it take?

This depends on a lot of factors, including how long it takes to make decisions and how many new habits and systems you are looking to implement. After working together a few sessions, we can make a better determination of how long the project will take.

I am so embarrassed. I can't imagine letting you see my space like this.

There is nothing to be embarrassed about. We are here to help. There is no judgement. Nothing makes us happier than transforming a space from cluttered to calm.

Will you make me get rid of everything?

We won't make you get rid of anything. It's always your decision. However, we will support you in making decisions that are best for you by asking thought provoking questions.

How do I prepare for your on-site visit? Is there anything I need or that I should do in advance?

There is nothing you need to do prior to our first session. In fact, we prefer that you don't clean up. This will allow us to see how the space is functioning. We ask that you have manilla file folders and black & clear garbage bags available for us to use. The black garbage bags are for trash and the clear garbage bags are for donations and recycling.

Do I need to be there?

We do ask that you are on-site. You will have opportunities to take breaks during our sessions, but we will need you to make all of the decisions regarding what to keep verse what to let go of. Our goal is to create systems and organized spaces that you can maintain. For this to be possible, we need you to be a part of the process.

What if I live alone? Can you still help me create a Family Manual?

Absolutely! In fact it's probably even more important to have this in place if you live alone.

For Sleep Habits & Routines, what ages do you work with?

We will work with parent's with children as young as 5 months old. We also work with teenagers and adults looking to improve their sleep.

Why is it so expensive?

We understand our services are an investment. Remember that the goal is to create habits, systems and spaces that you can maintain. As many clients report, getting organized is the gift that keeps giving, long after our time together ends.

How long is a coaching session?

A coaching session is 50-minutes.

How long is an organizing session?

A Half-Day Onsite Organizing Session is up to 5 hours.

What platform do you use for virtual organizing and coaching?

We use Zoom. This allows the sessions to be recorded, so that you can reference them at at later date, if you choose.

Do you travel?

We love to travel!
